CDM duties can be onerous, challenging and time consuming. PHSS can support you throughout the project journey – from inception to completion.


CDM Support for Clients

  • Early stage design meeting / visit to site
  • Advising on the appointment of your Principal Designer and other Designers
  • Producing Pre-Construction information
  • Notifying the HSE of your project (if required)
  • Advising on the appointment of your Principal Contractor

  • Approving the Construction Phase Plan written by your Principal Contractor
  • Monitoring visits to site during the construction phase
  • Attendance at site meetings
  • Setting up and reviewing the Health & Safety File

CDM Support for Designers and Principal Designers

  • Early stage design risk meeting
  • Advising on production of design risk assessments and the risk register
  • Producing Pre-Construction information

  • Attendance at site meetings
  • Support and advice for the production, maintenance and submission to the Client of the Health and Safety file.

CDM Support for Contractors and Principal Contractors

  • Pre-start and ongoing health and safety meetings
  • Advice and support for the production of Construction Phase Plan and safe systems of work
  • Advice and support for subcontractor and supply chain competency assessments
  • Review and approval of subcontractor and supply chain health and safety plans and safe systems of work
  • Inspection support
  • Advice and support for the production and submission of information for the Health and Safety File
